ImagePresident Carter: This morning the people of the United States are honored by the presence of a great world leader, President Tito of Yugoslavia. This is his third visit to the United States. The last time he was here was in 1971. One of the first actions that I took as President was to ask Vice President Mondale to go to Yugoslavia to present my own respects and admiration to President Tito.  He is indeed a remarkable man who has exhibited in his own life tremendous personal courage in battle, in times of severe testing of his strength as a human being and as a patriot. He's a contemporary of great world leaders who survived the crises of world war, a friend and associate of Prime Minister Churchill, President Roosevelt, General de Gaulle.

Nekadašnja politička škola Josip Broz Tito propada

ImageTitova rezidencija, Spomen-dom, nekadašnja politička škola Josip Broz Tito, najveći su objekti, svi s Titovim predznakom, i svi već godinama stoje neiskorišteni. Najviše su ljutiti mještani jer im vrijedni objekti u vlasništvu države propadaju pred očima. Jedino im preostaje čekanje rezultata još jedne javne dražbe u nizu. Jedino što valja u nekadašnjem Spomen-domu u Kumrovcu jest novo ime ‘Znanstveno-studijski centar Kumrovec’. Vrijedan objekt, izgrađen sedamdesetih, obuhvaća 90 tisuća četvornih metara i svake godine sve više propada.

Image"Moja mama me zove maršal Tito“ kaže Didier Drogba, igrač F.C.

Image“My mum calls me Marshal Tito,” says Didier Drogba, FC Chelsea player, this year’s Premier League champion, the best scorer of the league, probably the most popular African player of today and one of the best players in the world, in his exclusive interview with The Sun. When Tito died Drogba was just a little baby in his birth place of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. I must confess that I was pretty surprised by this interview. Is it possible that the memory of President Tito is still alive in Africa on that level? As Clotilde Drogba, Didier’s mother, told The Sun about Tito and her son: "I loved him a lot because of his fighting spirit and that's why we called Didier ‘Tito’."
